Chitraang Murdia, All India Topper of IITJEE 2014 is one happy guy. And why not? After all, he secured the top position at India's most prestigious engineering entrance exam. So what is he doing these days? Besides basking in the glory of having all IIT's, NIT's and other reputed institutes line up for him?
The one thing that we got to know was a cheque of Rs. 21 Lakhs from the very coaching institute he studied from! Yes. And ALLEN Coaching Centre not only felicitated him but Govind Lahoti as well, who bagged the 3rd AIR rank and Amey Gupta as well, who made his way in the Top 10 with 8th Rank nationwide. Both were felicitated with Rs. 5 Lakhs each. In total, about 1010 students of ALLEN were selected to be felicitated, out of which, about 901 are from classroom course while the remaining 109 belong to the distance learning programme of the institute.
Sh Brajesh Maheshwari, the elated Director of ALLEN Career Institute says, “ALLEN has created history by giving the All India Topper from IIT JEE division in mere 6 years of it’s JEE Division’s inception. This Year ALLEN has made a unique achievement by giving All India toppers in both AIPMT and IIT JEE”.
In total, ALLEN has given away special scholarships worth Rs 1 Crore 84 Lakhs so far. Besides Chitraang, Govind and Amey, other students from classroom courses who had secured positions in the Top 100 like Kushal Babel (AIR 27), Aryan Garg (AIR 71), Gurtej Singh Sohi (AIR 80) and Aditya Kumar (AIR 84) were each gifted with cheques of Rs 1 Lakh. Arka Saha from distance learning programme with AIR 98 received a cheque worth Rs. 10,000. 21 students from the classroom programme between AIR 101 to 500 received cheques of Rs 10,000 each and silver medals and 1 student from distance learning course was gifted with a Rs. 2100 cheque and silver medal. All the students of ALLEN, selected in IITJEE 2014 received silver medals, laptop bags and fast track wrist watches each.
As per Sh Naveen Maheshwari, all 8 students in top 100 will receive special scholarships worth Rs 3 lakh and 84 thousand under the programme “Rankers in Technical Studies”. Each student will receive a scholarship amount of Rs 1000 every month till 4 years which amounts to Rs 48,000. ALLEN gave away a total of Rs 41 Lakhs and 6 thousand as scholarship to the topper students.
ALLEN started a scholarship scheme in 2005 in the name of “Arms and Arts” under which students in top 100 of AIPMT, AIIMS and IIT JEE are rewarded with special cash scholarship.

Chitraang Murdia on securing the highest score, “ No student should ever miss his/her class no matter how much he knows about the topic as every faculty member teaches with a different technique in every class which turns out to be very important for cracking the competitive exams. I used to specially come from Udaipur to attend classes regularly during weekends and vacations.”
