The regulatory body has also ranked University of Delhi as the leading institution for providing highly successful alumni. It received one of the highest scores in the world for QS’ Alumni Outcomes indicator that shows how successful a university is in making students high-achieving graduates. Delhi University’s score is 96.6/100, which is 21st highest score worldwide. The score of University of Mumbai also shines in this indicator – 85.0/100.

To this, Ben Sowter, Director OS Research said, “Better comparative data about how universities are preparing their students for the 21st-century economy is required. This ranking is designed to improve the conversation we are having about this important component of a university’s mission, and allow students to make informed global comparisons.”

He also added that these results indicate that the universities cannot only rely on their reputation. “They also need to ensure that they are committed to innovative teaching methods, proactively forge relationships with businesses, and provide numerous opportunities for students to meet potential future employers.”

Stanford University topped the list, followed by University of California, LA (UCLA) and Harvard University occupied the third rank.

These rankings are computed on the basis of five metrics, namely, employer reputation, alumni outcomes, partnerships with employers, employer-student connections, and graduate employment rate.
