IIM Calcutta Receives AACSB Accreditation Along With Two Other Indian Institutes

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has become the first IIM in history to receive Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation.

It is the third B-School from India to receive the accreditation from AACSB. The other two institutes are Indian School of Business (ISB) and T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), Karnataka.

Accreditation from AACSB is considered elite by various B-schools. Less than five percent of the world's business programmes among 48 countries have received accreditation from AACSB.

After five years of assessment by AACSB and clearing 19 out of 21 standards for accreditation, the institute has become the part of the group for the next five years.

Apart from AACSB, IIM Calcutta has received accreditation from Association of MBAs (AMBA). It is now the only MBA college in the country to bag accreditations from both AACSB and AMBA. The institute was accredited for its PGPEX (MBA) and PGP (MBM) programmes for five years from AMBA.
