IIM Bangalore to Host 9th edition of National Entrepreneurship Summit - Eximius 2016

The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) is going to host the 9th edition of the National Entrepreneurship Summit - Eximius 2022 on August 6-7. The Entrepreneurship and Innovation (EnI) Cell organizes Eximius in association with the N S Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL), the start-up incubation centre at IIM Bangalore.

The theme for this year's Eximius is 'The Time Is Now', and aims to encourage all start-ups and students nationwide to act upon their ideas as now is the right time to make it happen. With click4college.com as the Career Partner, the two-day event will feature over 150 start-ups and is expected to get a footfall of 5,500 plus individuals, from across the country, participating in over 30 events. The events give hands-on exposure to participants on various aspects of starting and running a business.

This year, the team brings innovative events to inspire and give a platform to budding entrepreneurs. Bzzwings, which is conducted by Colors Infinity in association with IIM Bangalore & NSRCEL and hosted by Eximius IIMB and IIM Bangalore's Vista, is providing incubation along with an equity funding of INR 40 Lakhs which is double the amount that was offered last year.

Eximius also provides the perfect opportunity for entrepreneurs with business ideas built around information technology that can benefit millions of people. IBM, along with Kalaari Capital in association with IIM Bangalore, is conducting Fast Forward. Winners will get a chance to receive venture-funding from Kalaari Capital and exclusive mentor-ship on 'Technology for Startups' by IBM.

Entrepreneurship is not all about money or fame but also about passion to bring about a change and create an impact. In order to showcase that social initiatives can make a significant impact in people’s lives the team has designed an event, ‘The Other Incentive’ which aims to promote socially beneficial business ideas.

For any start-up to be successful, it is necessary to gain traction and an essential ingredient in achieving initial momentum is the right marketing strategy. Eximius, in association with IIMB, is conducting an event, 'The Game of Clicks' where we give an opportunity to students to collaborate with start-ups to develop their marketing strategies. The teams get 3 weeks and real money to test their planned strategies on social media platforms.
