IIITDM PhD Admissions 2017: Apply Before November 30

The Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing (IIIT-DM), Kancheepuram has started inviting applications from candidates seeking admission in Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) courses in various disciplines for academic session 2022.

IIITDM offers PhD course in below-mentioned subjects. Candidates can choose any one as per their eligibility and interest:

• Computer Engineering
• Electronic Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Mathematics

Aspirants are recommended to file their candidature before the last date of application i.e. November 30, 2022.

IIITDM Eligibility Criteria for PhD Admissions 2022

Applicants should hold Master’s Degree in Engineering/Technology/ Design from a recognised university/institute along with Graduate Aptitude Test of Engineering (GATE) score or UGC/ CSIR NET/ NBHM or equivalent qualification in the relevant area.

How to Apply for PhD at IIITDM

• Visit the official website of IIITDM
• Click on PhD link in the ‘Admission’ tab
• Click on ‘Apply Online’
• Create a login
• Fill the application form
• Submit the application form before the last date submission
• Keep a copy for future references

Applicants should note that every male/general/OBC candidate will be charged with INR 250 for IIITDM application fees, whereas SC/ST/PwD candidates will have to pay only INR 125.

IIITDM Selection Procedure for PhD Admissions 2022

Applicants will be selected on the basis of their academic record, performance in the written test and personal interview round.

IIITDM will conduct personal interview for applicants tentatively on December 19 or December 20, 2022, whereas the results will be announced on December 23, 2022.

The candidate who has a B.Tech degree from IIT/IIIT with a minimum CGPA of 8.0 on a 10 point scale and has a valid GATE score, will be exempted from the IITDM entrance test. Also, top 10 rank holders of Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology from a recognised university/institute along with valid GATE score will be exempted from appearing in the written test.
