IIFT 2016 Exam Analysis and Answer Keys

The IIFT exam 2022 was conducted on November 27, 2022 in 20 cities across the country. Close to 45,000 aspirants appeared for the exam. And as per IIFT's reputation, students found it difficult to manage time and attempt 123 questions within two hours. The LRDI section saw an increase in weightage from 33% last year to 36.5% this year. The exam consisted of questions ranging from moderate to difficult. Most of the students solved an average of only 50 to 60% of the questions.

Despite a tough question paper, the good news is that the cut-offs for IIFT have always been low and candidates scoring low marks can still expect a high percentile.

The General awareness section saw a dip in the number of questions, from 28 in 2015 to 25 this time. The weightage also reduced from 14% to 12.5% as 0.5 marks are awarded for each correct answer for this section. And even though candidates found it difficult to crack questions in this section, the silver lining is that the cut-off for this section will remain very low. The cut-off in IIFT 2022 is expected to be 1 mark as compared to 0.82 last year.

The weightage for each section is as follows:

• Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation - 36.5%
• Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension - 31%
• Quantitative Aptitude - 20%
• General Awareness - 14%

IIFT 2022 was a paper-based examination and consisted of 123 questions as compared to 124 questions last year. Some of the LR and DI questions were lengthy and candidates found the difficulty level on the higher side. Almost all the sections had lengthy and tricky questions and it was a task for students to cross 60 questions out of the 123. The expected cut-off for IIFT 2022 is 47 to 49 marks out of a max of 100 marks.

• General Category: 48
• OBC: 43
• SC/ST/PH: 38
