With more and more candidates opting for distance learning and online courses in India, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced the commencement of courses in IGNOU MBA in Banking & IGNOU MBA in Finance from the academic session of July, 2013.
This MBA programme by IGNOU for Banking & Finance has been developed by School of Management Studies, IGNOU and the Financial Technologies Knowledge Management Company (FTKMC), Mumbai following an MoU between IGNOU and the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) in order to provide an avenue for post graduate academic qualification in Banking and Financial Services, for the members of the IIBF. The programme seeks to upgrade the managerial skills and capabilities of the in-service banking professionals.
The programme will be called Master of Business Administration (Banking & Finance) (MBF).

- Minimum duration: 2.5 years
- Maximum duration: 8 years
- Course fee: Rs. 31,500
- Minimum & maximum age: No bar
Eligibility criteria for Masters in Business Administration Banking & Finance (MBF) in IGNOU
- Candidate should be a member of the Indian Institute of Bankers
- Candidate should have passed the CAIIB examinations conducted by Indian Institute of Bankers (IIFB), Mumbai and awarded the requisite qualification/ credentials thereof by the institute
- Candidate should have worked in the banking or financial service sector for at least two years
- Candidate should be a graduate in any stream from a recognised university
