IGNOU Launches Postgraduate Diploma in Women and Gender Studies through Distance Education

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) launched a Postgraduate Diploma Course in Women and Gender Studies.

The one-year programme by School of Gender and Development Studies (SOGDS) through distance education will commence from July 2012.

According to the universities official, "The course will help to examine women's and gender issues from an academic perspective”. The eligibility for Postgraduate Diploma Course in Women and Gender Studies is graduation in any discipline.

The official also said, "Even professionals working in media, legal sectors and NGOs can take this programme for betterment of career opportunities within their respective fields."

The last date for submitting application forms for Postgraduate Diploma Course in Women and Gender Studies is 15th July, 2012.
