IFIM and Howard University School of Business student-faculty meet

As a part of IFIM's constant effort to liaison with global universities, the students and faculty of Howard University School of Business visited IFIM College on December 19, 2013.

Howard University School of Business as a part of their curriculum require their students to do projects with companies in various countries. This year the students chose to work with Getit Infomedia and Rotomotive in India and presented their project reports on the 19th.

Dr. Barron H. Harvey, Dean - Howard University School of Business along with Mr. Sanjay Padode, Secretary - Centre for Developmental Education (CDE) Society and IFIM Business School, and Dr. D. Narasimha Murthy, Dean - Research & International Relations and Professor- Marketing - IFIM B-School marked their presence on the occasion.

Profile of the eminent invitee:

Dr. Barron H. Harvey - Dean of the Howard University School of Business:

Currently holds the prestigious position as Dean of the Howard University School of Business. He is also a tenured member of the faculty and has served as a full professor in the Department of Accounting for more than 15 years.

Dr. Harvey has held offices and memberships in numerous professional organizations including, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, American Assembly Collegiate School of Business, American Accounting Association, Administrators of Accounting Program Group, Accounting Educational Change Commission, National Association of Black Accountants and D.C. Board of Accountancy.

Mr.Sanjay Padode, Secretary - Center for Developmental Education (CDE) Society and IFIM Business School:

A 1989 pass out from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, with Honors in M. Sc. (Math) and B. E. (Electrical and Electronics Engineering), Mr. Padode founded Dataline and Research Technologies Ltd (DaRT) - the first company in the country to pioneer online access to information and email services in 1993. The service was popularly referred to as "India Online" and "DaRT Mail" and DaRT was the first real time market data provider for the Indian Stock Exchanges.

During his stint as the CEO of Religare Technova, the company made international and national acquisition and grew from a strength of 250 to 3500 employees. Post his stint as CEO of Religare Technova, Mr. Padode took up the cause of education and was appointed the Secretary of Centre for Developmental Education (CDE) and IFIM Business School.

Dr. D. Narasimha Murthy, Dean- Research & International Relations and Professor- Marketing:

He is an B.E (Mechanical), MBA, MS( Mass Communication), Ph D and did Post doctoral research at Fosters School of Business, University of Washington, Seattle, WA, USA. As a professor he taught Marketing: Business Marketing and Strategic Marketing. His current areas of research is Strategic marketing perspective of PLC theory, Strategic implications of learning theories

His academic work experience is 11 Years where corporate work experience is 9 years.
