HR Conclave at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore in November

Jaipuria Institute of Management conducted an HR conclave on November 30, 2013.

The HR Conclave was started with introduction of the theme by Dr. J.P Upadhay, Director Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore. He discussed about today’s competitive edge and inspired the audience with inspiring examples that both tickled the audience and gave them concrete learning too.

The first speaker Mr. Sumer Singh, the Director of Acropolis Management Institute Indore discussed about two ingredients of human potential “leadership and environment” also the role of consciousness in a person’s success

The second keynote speaker Mr. Sunil Kalyankar, Head HR Case Newhoolan Construction Equipment Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Sunil started with introducing his company and continued with philosophy of life in his opinion “experience” that what shapes the individual and help unleash the human potential. He further talked about the present problems in HR today i.e. the employability of the MBA professionals

The next speaker was Ms. Aroona Acharya Deputy General Manager HR Treasure World Developers Pvt. Ltd. She started off with the ability of HR’s to affect the profitability of the organisation she further talked about “enabling the employees” -a step ahead of engaging the employees and retaining the best people in critical positions.

Mr. Mukesh Tiwari was the next speaker, who gave his insight on the value of “fresh mind” in an organisation and further discussed about the fundamental quality of a manager who is free to express himself without any inhibitions.

Next was a panel discussion on “transforming an average performer to an extraordinary one” the panel discussion was facilitated by Mr. AnandSapre, he emphasised on the “quality of decision” to transform an ordinary performer to an extraordinary performer .Dr AlpanaTrehan continued the discussion and expressed that the transformation comes from within one’s will power and sheer determination.

Dr. PK Gupta introduced the concept of “achiever”’ rather than a performer to be an extraordinary person.

The last speaker was Mr. Jayant Mishra , CEO & Principal Consultant, People Live Consulting , Indore. He started off with the discussion on HR as a strategic function ,Mr. Jayant also elaborated on the importance of feedback in an organisation and expressed his take on politics in organisation which according is done only by incompetent employees in an organisation.

Event Concluded with mementoes presented to our esteemed guest members and Special Vote of thanks given by Prof. Charu Dubey.
