Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL) to Hire Engineers basis GATE 2014 Scores

The Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL), is inviting applications from bright and dynamic Engineering Graduates, in specified disciplines aspiring to join its team of world class professionals.

Candidates who wish to apply are required to appear for GATE 2014 for their respective discipline.

Candidates belonging to the following disciplines can apply for the job:

Mechanical engineering

Civil engineering

Electrical engineering

Electrical & telecommunication

Instrumentation engineering

Eligibility Criteria

1. Candidates with a degree in B.E or B.Tech from UGC recognized University with minimum 60% aggregate marks. Relaxation for SC/ST/PWD category is up to 50%. Final year engineering students may also apply for these jobs.

2. For the general category candidates, the maximum age limit is 25 years as on 30th June, 2014. For the reserved category, age relaxation will be applicable as per the government norms.

3. Applicants need to be medically fit as per the company's medical standards.

How to Apply

• Candidates interested in working with HPCL will be required to take GATE 2014, which is scheduled in the month of February 2014.
• Candidates need to buy the GATE application form, fill in and submit it as per the instruction given on the official website of GATE 2014.
• Such registered candidates will receive their GATE registration.
• On receipt of GATE registration number, the candidates need to apply to Hindustan Petroleum on-line.
• The relevant link will be made available from 5th November, 2013 at the ‘Careers Opportunities’ link of Hindustan Petroleum Website www.hpclcareers.com or through our website www.hindustanpetroleum.com.

Selection Procedure

• Candidates will be shortlisted basis GATE 2014 scores in their respective engineering disciplines.
• Further selection will be made based on the candidates’ performance in the Group Discussion (GD) or Personal Interview (PI).

Salary/Remuneration

In the first six months of joining the company, selected candidates will undergo training and they will receive a consolidated stipend of Rs 33,000 per month during this period. Once confirmed, they would receive approximately Rs 9.4 lakhs per annum and certain work related allowances.
