Guest Lecture at Raj Kumar Goel Institute of Technology in October, 2013

Raj Kumar Goel Institute of Technology had conducted a guest lecture on October 1, 2013 at its Seminar Hall.

Ms, Anita, Cloud Computing Industrial Expert was invited that day to deliver her lecture on the topic. This seminar was open to all II, III and IV year students of CSE, IT and MCA candidates.

Cloud computing is a colloquial expression used to describe a variety of different types of computing concepts that involve a large number of computers connected through a real-time communication network such as the Internet.

In marketing, cloud computing is mostly used to sell hosted services in the sense of application service provisioning that run client server software at a remote location. Such services are given popular acronyms like 'SaaS' (Software as a Service), 'PaaS' (Platform as a Service), 'IaaS' (Infrastructure as a Service), 'HaaS' (Hardware as a Service) and finally 'EaaS' (Everything as a Service).

Realizing its value in day today life, College had conducted this session with the expert where she guided the students about the concept. Students were no doubt benefited through this session.

Professor R.K Gupta coordinated the entire session while faculty members were there to help in smooth going of the event.
