A workshop on Gender Sensitization was organised by ‘Aarohan’, the Women Studies and Development Cell of the Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Government College, Faridabad on 29th and 30th September, 2015. The session was conducted with Ms. Gunjan Sharma.
The theme of the workshop was 'Gender Wohi, Soch Nai'. It was conducted for two days for the students wherein special activities were planned for them to learn more about the topic which is a concern for everyone in today's world.
Students were asked a few questions on the basis of the activities that took place. This helped in understanding and experiencing changes in their mental instinct and their social perceptions.
Recorded public video clips were shown to the students in which the social status on Gender was projected.
The Workshop was very beneficial for all. The students learnt a lot and believed that they are on their road to progress.
Dr. Neer Kanwal Mani & Shalini Tuli were the coordinators of the workshop, and helped make it a huge success in the presence of the college Principal, Mrs. Sushila Devi.
