GATE 2017 Entrance Exam Dates Announced

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has announced the dates for GATE 2022 entrance examination. GATE 2022 will be conducted on February 4 – 5, 2022 & February 11 – 12, 2022.

IIT Roorkee is the conducting authority of GATE 2022, which is taken by candidates seeking admission in post-graduate programmes in Engineering (like M.E., M. Tech, direct Ph.D.) offered at IITs.

Further information about the exam will be posted on the official website of GATE 2022 by June 25, 2022.

The examination conducting authority will open GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) for Enrollment, Application Filling, and Application Submission from September 1, 2022.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) examines applicants’ knowledge in various undergraduate subjects like Engineering/Technology/Architecture and post-graduate level subjects in Science.

How to Apply for GATE 2022

GATE follows a complete online application process. Candidates need to fill the forms online and pay the required fees via net banking, credit/debit card, e-challan.

Paper Pattern for GATE 2022

Like every year, GATE 2022 will be a computer-based test, consisting of 22 papers.

GATE 2022 will be an online examination of 65 questions comprising of total 100 marks.

The GATE 2022 test paper will be divided into two parts:

(a) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
Each question will have four options and out of them candidate has to choose the correct one.

(b) Numerical Answer Questions
Candidate will be asked answer these questions by using the virtual keypad. There will be no options provided for this section.
