GATE Application Form 2018 Released- Apply Online Now

GATE Application Form 2022-  IIT, Guwahati has started the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) Website for aspirants who are willing to fill the online GATE application form on 31 August 2022. Aspirants can submit their applications within a time period of one month because the last to apply for GATE 2022 is 05 October 2022. Candidates are requested to read the complete information before starting the online registration. Along with the online form, aspirants have to submit the requisite application fee. The national level examination, Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), will be conducted on February 03- 04 & February 10- 11, 2022 (Saturdays & Sundays) to offer admission in M.Tech./Ph.D. courses.

GATE 2022 Application Form- How to Apply Online?

A Candidate must visit the official website of GATE 2022 to register for the exam. The application form can be filled via online mode only. Check the below given steps to fill the GATE application form-

• Step-1- Go to the official website of GATE 2022 http://www.gate.iitr.ernet.in/
• Step-2- Create a login ID and password
• Step-3- Fill the application form with personal and educational information
• Step-4- Attach all the relevant documents such as scanned copy of photograph, signature, and thumb impression in the specified dimensions
• Step-5- Submit the application fee either by NET banking or debit/credit card or challan form

Now, submit the online application form and download the print copy of it for future use.

GATE 2022 Application Form- Application Fee

The application fee is different for different categories. Candidates have to submit the application fee either by Net banking/ debit card/ Credit card.

Payment Mode-

Candidates can submit the application fee either by Net Banking or Debit/Credit Cards OR e-challan. Bank will also charge accordingly.

GATE Application form 2022- Specification of Scanned Copy of Signature & Photograph

While uploading the scanned copy of signature, photograph and thumb impression, follow the below given instructions, otherwise you application form of GATE 2022 will be rejected without any intimidation.

Specification of Signature Image

• In GATE Application form 2022, candidates have to upload a passport size photograph of specification 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm.
• The scanned copy should be uploaded in JPEG format and its minimum size should be 240×320 pixels. The maximum size allowed is 480×640 pixels (0.3 Mega pixel).
• The photograph must be in COLOR and taken after 01 August 2022.
• Use white or light color background while taking the picture.
• Photographs taken using a mobile phone and other self-composed portraits may result in rejection of the application.
• Avoid wearing spectacles with tinted or dark glasses.

Specification for Signature Image

• Draw a rectangular box on an A4 whitepaper with dimension 2 cm × 7 cm (Height × Width).
• Signature will be made with black or dark blue ink pen else it won’t be accepted. Also, don’t sign with all Capital Letters.
• Get the digital image of the rectangular box (with your signature inside) scanned by using a professional scanner. Crop it to the border of the box.
• The maximum size of signature image should be 160×560 pixels in JPEG format and its minimum size should be 80×280 pixels.

GATE 2022 Application Form- Documents Required

Candidates need to fill all mandatory fields in order to successfully submit the application form. Check the list of details that you have to fulfill while submitting the online application fee.

• Personal information (name, date of birth, mobile number, parent’s name, alternative contact number, etc.)
• Permanent & Present Address (including PIN code)
• Details of Eligibility degree
• College address along with PIN code
• GATE paper
• GATE examination cities choice
• Scanned picture of your photograph
• Scanned picture of your signature
• Scanned picture of your thumb impression
• Scanned copy Degree Certificate or mark sheet of previous semester/year in pdf format
