GATE 2015: Results likely to be disclosed on March 12

The first phase of The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2015 (GATE 2015) was conducted on Saturday, January 31 and Sunday, February 1, 2015. The other phases were conducted on February 7 and 8, during forenoon and afternoon sessions on alternate weekends (Saturday and Sunday).

According to the information given on GATE's official website, the results will be declared on March 12, 2015 at 5pm. Candidates can download the results using the link provided on the official website. GATE is held for testing the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and science.

Prominent public sector undertakings such as BHEL, Indian Oil Corporation, NTPC, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre etc are using the GATE score for selecting candidates. Students who qualify in GATE are entitled to a stipend of Rs 8,000 per month during their M.Tech course. Better remuneration is being offered for students of M.Tech/M.E as compared to those pursuing B.Tech /B.E. After completing an M.Tech course, one can aim at a salary package ranging from Rs 7 lakh to 30 lakh per annum, depending on specialization and performance.
