Fresher’s party at Jamia Millia Islamia University

 

 

The electrical engineering 2nd year students of Jamia Millia Islamia organised the fresher’s party on November 7, 2014.

 

The electrifying evening proved to be invigorating for the juniors who seemed to enjoy to the fullest. It was a jamboree for them in the midst of the hectic first year schedule where they have to cope up with the new environment, new topics and activities. 

 

The event started on an informal note to make the juniors acquainted of the Jamia ambience. A number of events were organised by the host class like the balloon transfer, groove it up, proposal round that proved to be a heavy dose of entertainment and exuberance for the juniors. The exulting performances of the spiffy juniors like group dance, solo singing, and poetry recitation further strengthened the bond between the juniors and the seniors.

 

 

 

 

The party then steered to its formal course of events hosted by the anchors Sarah and Shradhul. Mr. Rajesh Suri, head of the HPVC competency centre at Alstom grid was the chief guest of the evening. He delivered an impressive and inspiring speech for the future engineers of the country. Prof.Mehtab Alam, Chief Proctor of Jamia Millia Islamia, Prof.Mohd.Shakeel, Dean, faculty of Engineering and technology, Prof.Majid Jamil, Head of department of Electrical Engineering and Prof. AQ Ansari, Advisor of subject association graced the occasion and conferred their blessings. The evening ended with the chic crowd dancing on the tunes of the buzzing songs.
