Five Indian Institutions Feature in QS World University Rankings for Social Science

These include: Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD); Indian Institute of T echnology Kanpur (IITK); Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IITKGP); Indian Statistical Institute; and Jawaharlal Nehru University. Full results are available on TopUniversities.com. Indian institutions have performed relatively well overall in the rankings by subject, featuring in the top 200 in 17 out of 26 subjects ranked. The QS World University rankings by subject are the first to rank universities at individual subject level in the world. With a methodology tailored to fit each subject, the rankings are based on academic reputation, employer reputation and citations per paper.
