First list of selected candidates for admission to DHSK Commerce College, Dibrugarh, Assam to be announced on June 3, 2013

Admission to HS 1st year has started at DHSK Commerce College, Assam has begun and the College has invited applications from eligible candidates. May 27 was the last date for submission of forms. First list for selected candidates will be declared on June 3, 2013.

Selected candidates will have to appear in the interview scheduled for June 6, 2013, at 10 am. No request for admission will be entertained after the date of admission. Admission will be strictly on the basis of Merit and Government Reservation Policy.

In another news, the college had also scheduled commencement of B.Com 1st semester classes from May 16, 2013.

About the college:

The DHSK College, originally named the Dibrugarh College way back in June, 1945, later on came to be renamed after its donors as Dibrugarh Hanumanbux Surajmal Kanoi College in 1957. The College is permanently affiliated to the Dibrugarh University and financially depended on Department of Higher Education, Government of Assam and University Grants Commission. The College has in total twenty departments of which 12 nos. are in Arts and 8 nos. in Science streams respectively. Almost all the departments offer Major courses excluding Hindi and Bengali. Department of Sociology and Education are meant for Higher Secondary classes only. The college offers several undergraduate courses in Arts and Science streams. Besides, the college offers short-term professional courses in Computer Hardware & Maintenance and Fashion Designing. The college serves as a study center for Krishna Kanta Handique State Open University (KKHSOU)
