A film festival was arranged in School of Arts, Aesthetics auditorium and Jawaharlal Nehru University on October 29, 2015. The festival was organised by the centre for Canadian, US and Latin American Studies in association with LE BUREAU DU QUEBEC.

Black Robe
Set in the wilderness of 17th Quebec (known as New France then), the movie explores the complex relationship between the Native People, the missionaries trying to convert them to Christianity and young settlers attracted by their way of life.
Mon Oncle Antoine (MY UNCLE ANTOINE)
The movie highlights the changing nature of Quebec society and the power relationship between Anglophones and Francophones in the 1940s through the life of a young boy and his family.
Monsieur Lazhar (MR. LAZHAR)
The movie portrays adaptation to Quebec culture of an Algerian refugee working as a replacement teacher in a primary school.
