YMCA University of Science and Technology celebrated their 3-Day mega annual fest with pomp and show; three events celebrated between March 30, 2012 and April 1, 2012 are Impulse 2012, Khoj 2012 and Concourse.
About university:
The YMCA University of Science and Technology, Faridabad, erstwhile, YMCA Institute of Engineering, Faridabad was established in the year 1969, as a joint venture of the National Council of YMCA’s of India. The Institute has been granted University status since 1st Dec., 2009. (Established by Haryana State Legislative Act No. 21 of 2009 & recognized by UGC Act 1956 u/s 22 to Confer Degrees).
The University offers 4-year B.Tech degree courses in six disciplines ranging from Information Technology, Computers, Electronics-Communication, Electronics-Instrumentation Control to Mechanical & Electrical engineering. The University also offers Post Graduate courses like M.Tech. (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Computers/ IT), MBA, MCA and Ph.D.

Events celebrated under Khoj 2012 included:
Hello Android: Applicants were provided with a small application to be developed on the android platform within two days. It was organized by Manan, a group of I.T professionals from the college.
Fox Hunt: Organised by Microbird, established to promote the technical awareness in the field of electronics among students, I this event, Participants need to find the hidden transmitters in the college.
Eclectica: Participants were required to form a team of 4-6 members, each team was required to submit their vehicle design for validation. It was organized by Samarpan.
Junk Battle: The aim of this game was to build a working model out of the scrap provided. The basic idea was to build something out of nothing. This event was organized by Mechnext ( a club of Mechanical Engineers).
