The department of Adult, Continuing Education & Extension and the Faculty of Social Sciences, Delhi University (DU) conducted a national level workshop in collaboration with UNESCO.

The theme of the workshop was prospects of lifelong learning & extension and it was conducted on the 20th and 21st of October this year.

Mr. Shigeru Aoyagi, Director and UNESCO representative to India, Bhutan, Maldives and Sri Lanka was the Guest of Honour for the event.

The University Grants Commission (UGC), DU and other institutes such as Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) have worked towards promoting Life Long learning.

Department of Adult, Continuing Education & Extension, University of Delhi is one of the prominent institutions working in the field of Lifelong Learning & Extension. It moved on to become an entitled department under the Faculty of Social Sciences and offers Masters Degree in Lifelong Learning & Extension, M. Phil, Ph. D, along with various short term courses.
