Engineering Services Exam dates clash between Haryana & UPSC: Students in a fix

Students preparing for the Haryana Public Service Commission’s (HPSC) Assistant Engineer exam are in a fix over the clash of dates with the Union Public Service Commission’s (UPSC) Engineering Services exam. The HPSC exam and UPSC exam will be conducted within a window period of 3 days between June 28 and June 30, 2013. The HSPC exam will be conducted in Panchkula, while the UPSC will be conducted in designated centres across the country.

While the reach and scale of the UPSC exam is much higher, students who aimed at giving both the exams are now in a fix. However, some candidates are of the view that since HPSC exam is smaller, it should be deferred to a later date for the convenience of Haryana students.

HPSC had announced the Assistant Engineers posts for electrical, civil and mechanical branch through this exam in 2012.
