Eligibility criteria for admission:
Since its inception, GGSIPU is holding true to a stringent, merit-based intake policy. The rationale here is to acknowledge performance and keep quality standards intact. Your enrolment goals with any of the engineering colleges under Indraprastha University will fructify upon clearing IPU CET, a state level common intake test. The college and discipline you end up with will depend on your rank in the said exam. In fact, the number of aspirants is progressive with each passing year while the intake seats remain more or less the same. GGSIPU has specified IPU CET Eligibility Criteria 2022, which is as follows:
B-Tech CET: Consider applying only if you have cleared senior secondary exam from CBSE or other equivalent board. Your aggregate percentile should be 55 or more when applying for engineering colleges under Indraprastha University. As well, you need to pass four main subjects – English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics – separately. Students furthering their academics via distance education need to furnish a proof of their study centre in Delhi.
Seat Reservation for Delhi Region Candidates:
GGSIU complies with a consistent reservation policy. About 85 percent seats in all engineering colleges under Indraprastha University are exclusive for candidates passing out secondary school exam from a Delhi-based Institute. Apparently, the going is relatively easy for enrolment seekers from Delhi as compared to their counterparts hailing from other parts of the country.
Dates to remember:
GGSIPU will make IPU CET application forms available online by 15th February 2022 via its website. You need to submit it prior to 4th April 2022. The entrance exam for enrolments in engineering colleges under Indraprastha University will be conducted on 23rd April 2022 from 2.00 PM to 4.30 PM. You can expect the admit card a couple of weeks before the exam date. Eventually, GGSIPU will announce results on or before 9th May 2022.
