The Andhra Pradesh Government has changed the dates for Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) 2015. Earlier the exam was scheduled to take place on May 10 which is now rescheduled to May 8 due to clashing of dates with COMEDK 2015.
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) conducts the EAMCET exam every year on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) for admission into various colleges and universities across Andhra Pradesh as well as the newly formed state of Telangana.
Registrations for EAMCET 2015 have begun on March 6 and will continue till April 11. More than 1.8 Lakh students are expected to appear for EAMCET 2015, to vie for the 1,65,080 engineering as well as medical seats in the state.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must be a minimum of 17 years.
- The candidates must have passed intermediate examination or its equivalent from a recognized board.
- Aspirants must have scored a minimum of 45 per cent marks (general) or 40 per cent marks (reserved categories) with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology as subjects.
- Candidates must belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh
Examination Pattern:
The entrance test is of three hours duration and the question paper comprises of total 160 questions; 80 questions in Mathematics, 40 questions in Physics and 40 questions in Chemistry. All questions will be objective based carrying one mark each. Medium of examination is ‘English’ and ‘Telugu’.

- The registration fee may be paid at TS Online/AP Online/Mee Seva/E-Seva centers in Telangana State or Andhra Pradesh through Payment Gateway (Credit Card/Debit Card).
- Fees for Engineering is Rs 250/. For Agriculture and Medical also Rs 250/ whereas for both Rs 500/.
- Last date for submission of Online Applications is April 11, 2015.
Selection Procedure:
Candidates will be selected on the basis of the entrance examination and the councelling round conducted by Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).
