EAMCET 2014 counselling for medical and dental aspirants in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will start from 27th- 31st August 2014. This has come as a big relief for all the students who appeared for EAMCET 2014.

According to Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi, the classes for medical courses would commence from 1st September 2014. Meanwhile, the officials of the NTR University will have a meeting with the officials of the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh state to take decision on counselling. A total of 5,600 MBBS seats are available for admission in colleges of TS and AP.

 

EAMCET is a common entrance test which is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad on behalf of APSCHE in the state of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

 

The counselling for EAMCET was on hold as some private engineering colleges filed a petition against Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad for cancelling the affiliation of about 174 colleges. However, the Hyderabad high court refused to put a stay on counselling procedure.

 

Supreme Court had already directed the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh state governments to complete the EAMCET process by August 31.
