Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) conducts the Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test, EAMCET, on behalf of APSCHE. This is for aspirants who wish to apply for professional courses offered by private colleges in Andhra Pradesh.
The counseling for the engineering courses through EAMCET, which was supposed to begin from the June 29th this year, has been postponed to July 10th to be continued to July 20th 2014. The process was rescheduled due to the extension given to the applicants by the AICTE.
Due to the political changes in the state there were other impacts on the exam and admission procedures too. There has been a demand made by the Andhra Pradesh HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, to the Telangana government, to reimburse the fees deposits of the Andhra students who are studying in Telangana as there was an issue made on the rules pertaining to the nativity of these students.
There has been an assurance from Andhra Pradesh’s Social Welfare Minister; Ravela Kishore Babu to get the fees reimbursed to the Andhra students even by the Andhra government in case it is not reimbursed by the Telangana government.
However, despite these issues the counseling and the other procedures for the EAMCET seem to be progressing now.
