DU’s ninth cut off list emphasises on reserved category

Just two days are left for Delhi University to begin this year's academic session, but some colleges issued eighth cut off list late on Monday night in what may be their last attempt to fill up seats with admissions reopened for some courses.

With classes for the new academic session already started, Delhi University issued a ninth cut off list late on Friday night to fill up a number of seats still lying vacant along with a notification to all colleges to complete their admission process by July 31, 2013. Eight colleges issued the ninth cut off list for admission in Commerce course, while some others have asked students to directly contact them. The list is mainly for students belonging to reserved categories. There are, however, a few courses still open for general students.

The fresh cut-off list also shows that many colleges still have substantial seats in the reserved categories that are yet to be filled, though not in all courses.

In economics, one of the most sought-after courses at, 11 colleges still have seats. Not only commerce and economics but English, history, philosophy, sociology and Sanskrit courses also have vacancies.

Barring Zoology and Mathematics in Hansraj College and Kirori Mal, seats for science subjects are almost occupied.

According to this notice some colleges will complete their admission on July 30, 2013. College of Vocational Studies will conduct its admission procedure on July 29 & 30, 2013.
