DU fifth cut-off list got released for 5th round of DU UG admission 2022. As far as cut-off percentage is concerned, there has been a drop of merely one or two percent for remaining 10% seats. Cut off percentage for Economics (Hons) saw a drop of up to 3.5% at Lakshmibai College while other reputed colleges like Hans Raj College and Indraprastha College for Women (IP College) have closed admission. Students who couldn't get admission in Kirori Mal College have now got another chance. The college now has a few seats available due to withdrawals but only students with 96.5% cutoff can apply for admission.
Lady Shri Ram College for Women (LSR) kept the cutoff percentage highest with 97.5% for BA (Hons) Psychology course. Following footsteps of LSR, Hindu College also gave a surprise to the students by keeping fifth cut-off list highest to 97.25% for BA (Hons) Economics. With just 45% for BA (Hons) Persian, Zakir Husain kept fifth cut-off list to the lowest.
In 2022-17 academic year, while many colleges had closed admissions for various undergraduate courses, seats still remained vacant in many prestigious colleges of DU, to fill which the university released more cut-off lists. DU Fifth Cut-off List 2022
Last year, The Hindu Colleges was accepting admissions to BA (Hons) in English (96%), B.Com (Hons) (96.50%), Political Science (96.50%), Economics (96.50%) and Hindi (89%). Similarly, at Ramjas College and Kirori Mal College, seats were open in courses like BA (Hons) History, BA (Hons) English and BA (Hons) Economics. Seats were open in the science section too.
At Hans Raj College, admissions were open for B.Sc (Hons) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Life Science.
In south campus colleges at Delhi University, seats were also available in different courses and colleges. For example, at Lady Sri Ram College, candidates were allowed to apply for B.Com (Hons) course as well as BA (Hons) in History, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and Journalism while the University has announced the fifth cut-off list. Admissions were also open for courses like BA (Hons) in Sociology, Hindi, Economics, B.Com, BA, and B.Com (Hons) at Sri Venkateswara College.
The previous year’s cut-offs of Delhi University can be taken as a reference for the new academic year 2022-18. However, previous DU cut-off lists 2022 have shown a dip in percentage as compared to last year. So candidates who couldn't get admission in any DU college in first four cut-off lists can still have hope.
