DU Mania

While my brother watches IPL and cheers for his favourite team. I am stuck up here in my study room with fat law entrance books. Well this has been happening since almost a year now. Its not a unique scene since its the story of our lives. 

Ok so I am not elaborating on this because its full of sadness. My only motivation to study these days is college, the bright future ahead and I know when I will  look back i will think "aree yaar this was the best time of my life". As a humanities student DU is dream place to be. With every year the cutoffs shooting up, I do fear.

With the new FYP(four year programme) I am even more clueless of what will happen eventually!

I am not saying that the new course is good or bad because I have a neutral stand on it, also because I plan to do my masters abroad so, the four year option seems viable for me. Out of the bandwagon of colleges, my dream colleges are two - St Stephen's and LSR. St Stephen's has been the alma meter of most of my family members and my mother is also a stephanian thus the reasons seem obvious.

This christian constituent college was founded in 1881 so imagine how old it is! I have been to the college so often that I almost feel like a student there already!!

Ok I might be going to the residential area for the professor there but you can still get the feel of the college. The canteen is called cafeteria or cafe popularly.   

Now onto LSR, I don't have a family legacy there but this all girls college know for its strong feminism always seems attractive to my feminist side . It might be off campus but I have always been very inspired to be there. The women who graduate from here are women of substance, Aung San Suu Kyi amongst them!

So the star power adds more value to the prestigious institution.

Now that the countdown for the results has began this seems so near yet so far.
