The University Grants Commission is to seal the fate of BMS (Bachelors in Management Studies) today over a meeting. BMS is one of the most coveted courses of the Delhi University amongst students aspiring to pursue a professional undergrad course.

On the other hand, UGC had recommended DU to continue its B. Tech course on June 29th, 2014 for its last year’s applicants.

The Four-year B Tech Programs offered by the Delhi University which are covered under section 22, UGC Act, such as Computer Science, Polymer Science, Electronics and Food Technology may continue but, only for the students who had already applied for the 2013-14 session.

In order to offer these B Tech courses, the respective DU colleges will have to acquire an approval from UGC and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) so that the candidates are given a recognized degree after the completion of the course.
