DTU Invites Applications for M.Tech Courses

Delhi Technical University (DTU) invites applications for admissions in M. Tech programmes in various streams for the academic year 2022-17. DTU has published an information brochure on its official website and has invited applications from the eligible candidates for its 2-year, full-time M.Tech degree program.

DTU offers 22 M. Tech Programmes in various disciplines of engineering and technology. Candidates can apply for any of the disciplines mentioned hereunder:

• Applied Chemistry
• Applied Physics
• Civil Engineering
• Civil Engineering
• Computer Science and Engineering   
• Electronics & Communications Engineering
• Environment Engineering        
• Environmental Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering  

Total number of seats

The total number of seats for M.Tech (part time) is 69 and divided as 35, 10, 5 and 19 for General, SC, ST and BOC categories respectively. Whereas the total number of seats for the M. Tech (full-time) for the academic session 2022-17 is 429 and sponsored (SFT) is 110.

DTU M.Tech educational qualifications and Eligibility criteria

Candidates need to have B.Tech and BE degree in the required field. Aspirants belonging to the general category must have secured 60 percent marks in the desired degree. In the case of CGPA, if equivalent marks are not provided, the formula i.e. Percentage of Marks = 10 X CGPA-7.5 will he used to convert CGPA into an equivalent percentage of marks. As per rules, candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PD category will be given a relaxation of 10 percent whereas the candidates belonging to the OBC will get 5% relaxation in marks.

How to apply  

Candidates who are interested in enrolling into any of the M.Tech programmes on offer in DTU need to register on the official website at first and then fill in the form. The last date for filling the form is June 22, 2022. The fee for online registration is INR 1000 that is to be paid through Net Banking, Debit Card and Credit card at the time of registration. After filling up the form, candidates can keep the soft copy and take the printout of the receipt too for future reference.
