Dr. D. Y. Patil Dental College and Hospital Announces Dates for AIPGDET-2014

Dr. D. Y. Patil Dental College and Hospital, Pune conducts the All India Post Graduate Dental Entrance Test (AIPGDET) every year for admission to its post graduate dental programmes.

The various courses under MDS offered by the college include:

(1) Prosthodontics & Crown & Bridge

(2) Periodontology

(3) Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

(4) Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics

(5) Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics

(6) Oral Pathology & Microbiology

(7) Public Health Dentistry

(8) Paedodontics and Preventive Dentistry

 (9) Oral Medicine & Radiology

Eligibility Criteria

• A candidate who passes final BDS examination from a recognized Dental College, included in the schedule of the Indian Dental Council Act, 1948 and who has obtained final registration either from the Dental Council of India or from any State Dental Council, after completing one year compulsory rotatory internship, will be eligible to appear for AIPGDET- 2014.
• Candidate who has not completed one year compulsory rotatory internship and is likely to complete the same on or before 31st March, 2014 can appear for the AIPGDET - 2014.
• Candidate who is previously registered and is pursuing or completing the same course.
• A NRI/PIO/FN Candidate should possess Dental qualification recognized by Dental Council of India, included in the schedule of the Indian Dental Act. 1948. The candidate will have to obtain registration of Dental Council of India, before joining. Candidate under this category is not required to appear for AIPGDET-2014. Admissions will be made on the basis of inter-se merit as determined by admission committee appointed for the purpose by the Competent Authority.

Admission Procedure

• Post Graduate aspirant will be required to submit prescribed form of the AIPGDET-2014.

• Information brochure along with blank application form will be available at the University Office on payment of Rs. 1,500/- Cash or DD in favour of “The Registrar, Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune”, payable at Pune drawn on a Nationalized/Scheduled Bank.

• The Examination Fee for AIPGDET-2014 is Rs. 2,000/-  which should be paid at the time of submission of application form in the form of DD drawn on a Nationalized Bank in favour of “The Registrar, Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune”, payable at Pune.

• Forward the Application Form (duly filled in) along with necessary documents and a Demand Draft of Rs.3,750/- (Rupees three thousand seven hundred fifty only) drawn on any nationalized Bank, in favour of 'The Registrar, Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth' payable at Pune. The last date of form submission is 9th January, 2014.
