Flood situation continued to grim in Bihar. Flood waters entered over 100 villages in Bihar in the past 24 hours, forcing people to abandon their homes. The devastation mostly affected in education as because of floods many colleges and schools will remain close till uncertain period.
Due to heavy rainfall water level has raised to the extent that in Bhagalpur district of Bihar it has crossed the danger level. One of the victims of devastation of flood water is Bhagalpur College of Engineering. This college got the notice to remain close till September 10, 2013.
Bhagalpur College of Engineering is situated in Sabour, near to Ganga River. As excess water released into Ganga, nearby areas were affected badly. River water came inside the college campus and now it’s not in a good condition. College authority announced to close the classes till September 10. But it may be postponed according to the situation.
Worst situation forced the local people to abandon from their house to a safe place. Commissioner Mr. Alam has appealed the villagers to leave their places as soon as possible especially near to the River as Central Water Commissioner had cautioned that the Ganga water level would increase at Bhagalpur including Munger and Kahal Gaon on Saturday.
