Now that DU has conveniently extended the undergraduate misery from three to four years, I guess we can do very little about it.
Maybe, leave the course after 2 years and get a better deal by default. But, as far as my understanding, I will be stranded after taking that stupid step as once you do that, you will be left stranded!
You will have covered the bare minimum of your course of 4 years. Yes, Delhi University will give you a diploma. Yes, that’s helpful too. But, how is it really going to help us, in the long run? Where will my 2 year diploma be recognized? Will I be given a decently paying job after this?
It’s really unfair, is what I feel. I believe, some rather brainy DUTA professors also feel so. Maybe that’s why 100 of them are protesting the new change.
I read in the paper, a student asked "How can I get an honors degree in three years?" and pat came the reply “try another university!”
I rest my case, with the ‘last retort’!
