Delhi University Announces Eighth Cut-Off List for 2013-14

The Delhi University has issued an eight cut-off list for admission to its four-year undergraduate programmes for the academic session 2013-14.

With classes for DU’s next academic session due to begin on July, 24, 2013, a few colleges have released the eighth cut-off list in what may be their last attempt to fill up seats. (To see the list, click on DU’s Eight Cut-Off List link available on this page)

Admission for the Commerce stream has been reopened in Hindu College and Kirori Mal College.

After the fourth cut-off list, Hindu had closed admissions for B.Com. However, it has announced the same cut-off in the eighth list at 96.26-99.25 per cent.

Kirori Mal College had closed admissions for B.Com after the fifth cut-off, which was set at 96 - 96.24. However, it has reopened for admission and has kept the cut-off for B.Com at 95.75 - 95.99 per cent in the eight list.

More than 15 colleges, mostly off-campus, still have their Commerce seats lying vacant.

English is still available in six colleges and 12 colleges are still offering seats in Economics.

For Science stream, almost all the colleges have closed admissions. However, Mathematics is still being offered at Hans Raj and Kirori Mal colleges.

Miranda House and Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences still have seats available in B.Tech in Computer Science.

There is some good news for aspiring journalists as well – Kamala Nehru College has reopened admission for Journalism and Mass Communication course at a cut-off of 91.5-93.5 per cent.

According to the latest cut-off list, many colleges still have substantial seats lying vacant in the reserved categories.
