Delhi Technological University: B.Tech (Evening) Entrance Exam 2012

DTU has been established by the government of Delhi by upgrading the erstwhile DCE (Delhi College of Engineering) vide Delhi Act 6 of 2009 which came into effect from 15th July 2009.

The Delhi Technological University (DTU) (formerly Delhi College of Engineering - DCE) will hold an entrance examination on 24th June 2012 for admission for the academic year 2012-13 to the 1st year of the following four-year B.Tech. (Evening) degree programs:

• Civil Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Electronics Engineering
• Communication Engineering

Eligibility Criteria to take the B.Tech (Evening) Entrance Exam 2012 for DTU

1. The candidates should have passed the State Board Diploma Examination in engineering of 3-year duration in any corresponding branch or any other examination, recognized equivalent there to by the Delhi Technological University with a minimum aggregate (aggregate of all six semesters/three years) of 55% (45% for SC/ST candidate).

2. The candidates should have served for a period of not less than 1 year as on 1st day of September, 2012 in an established engineering works/organization, located in the NCT of Delhi and contiguous industrial areas shall be eligible to appear in the entrance examination.

How to get Application Form for B.Tech (Evening) Entrance Exam 2012 for DTU

The bulletin of information containing details of the admission procedure, application form and syllabi of the B.Tech (Evening) entrance examination is available from:

B.Tech. (Evening) office, Room No. FW1-FF4,
Electrical Engineering Department,

from 23rd April 2012 (Monday) on all working days (Monday to Saturday) between 2.00pm to 7.00 pm on submission of a crossed Bank Draft/pay order of Rs. 1,000/- issued from State Bank of India only drawn in favour of ‘The Co-ordinator, B.Tech. (Evening) Entrance Examination-2012’ payable at Delhi.

The request for issuing the bulletin by post should reach the office on or before 3rd May 2012 (Thursday).

The last date of sale of application forms at DTU in person is 21st May 2012 (Monday) till 5.00 pm.

The completed Application Form should reach the Deputy, Co-ordinator (Admn.) on or before 21st May 2012 latest by 7.00 pm either in person or by post.

Applications received after 21.05.2012 will not be considered, in any case.

NO MODE OF PAYMENT OTHER THAN THE ONE MENTIONED ABOVE SHALL BE ENTERTAINED.
