Debating Gandhi: 38th ISGS Annual Conference by University of Rajasthan

Debating Gandhi, 38^th Annual Conference is being organised from November 21, 2015 to November 23, 2015 by Department of Lifelong Learning of University of Rajasthan at its campus.

The main theme of the conference is “Debating Gandhi” and the sub-themes are as under:

1. Local/national/Global Perspective
2. Gender/Dalit/Environment Perspective
3. Text and Context
4. Employment and Gandhi

Arrangements:

Hospitality and accommodation will be provided by the organisers from 6:00 PM of the November 20, 2015 to 10:00 AM of November 24, 2015. The members staying before or after these limits will have to make their own arrangements. No TA/DA would be paid by the host organisation or by ISGS.

Registration:

Registration fee for life members of ISGS-Rs. 1000 (Non-members Rs.1500) upto October 15, 2015, Rs. 1500 for life-members ISGS (Non-members Rs. 2000) upto November 21, 2015.Registration fee could be deposited in the ISGS Account.

A flat fee of Rs. 2000 per person will be charged for all accompanying persons (non-members of ISGS). 

Indian Society of Gandhian Studies (ISGS) established in 1972 acquired the reputation of a scholarly national organisation. It has a time honoured legacy of promoting teaching, research and publications related to Gandhian studies. It provides various opportunities to facilitate interaction amongst scholars, activists and institutions of Gandhian Studies.

University Rajasthan College was initially established in 1957 as a nursery for preparing students for administrative services. In 1962, it was merged into the University of Rajasthan as its constituent Undergraduate Boys College for Arts Commerce, Social Science and Humanities.
