Deadline for M.Tech. Admission 2013-15 in Birla Institute of Technology, Jharkhand

Applications are invited for admission to M.Tech. programme of the institute in Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgy, Chemical and Civil Engineering for the session 2013-15 commencing from July, 2013.

Application form is available on the institute website which has to be downloaded from www.bitsindri.ac.in Filled up application form must accompany a Demand Draft of Rs. 700/- for General and OBC category and Rs. 400/-for SC and ST category. The demand draft should be made in favour of “Director, B.I.T, Sindri” payable at S.B.I, B.I.T, Sindri (Branch Code-11812).

The employed candidates should send their applications through their employer. However, an advance copy of the application may be submitted. In that case it requires to submission of the No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of interview from his / her employer in the format prescribed in the application form.

Admission will be based on GATE score with B.E/B.tech or equivalent degree in respective mentioned discipline with 60% marks.College has also decided to award the meritorious students with scholarship. Scholarship will be provided to the students after getting it from AICTE. Benefit of reservation is given as per Jharkhand Government rules and norms.

Who is eligible for M.Tech courses in Birla Institute

• Candidates with a valid GATE score with B.E / B. Tech or equivalent degree in respective mentioned discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent C.G.P.A

• In case of SC/ST the minimum marks of 55% or equivalent C.G.P.A) from recognized University/ Institute approved by AICTE New Delhi are eligible to apply in prescribed format.

• Candidates possessing above qualifications and having valid GATE score will be entitled for monthly stipend as per the A.I.C.T.E. / Government approved norms as per availability of fund from A.I.C.T.E.

• Non-GATE qualified candidates may also be considered without monthly stipend in case seats are not been filled by GATE candidates.

Documents required for the admission

• Final year/Semester marks sheet & passing certificate of BE/B. Tech or equivalent

• Appearing candidates should attach 7thsemester / 3rd year marks sheet

• Marks sheet of 10th & 12th

• Passing certificate of 10th & 12th

• Caste certificate (if applicable) issued by SDO/DM/DC from Jharkhand State.

• Gate Score (2013-14).

Important Dates:

• Last date for submission of completed application form by hand/speed post : May 20, 2013

• Intimation of shortlisted candidates and schedule of interview on the Institute website : Last week of June, 2013

• Counseling /Interview : 1st week of July, 2013

• Session starts : 3rd week of July, 2013
