Counselling process for PG Medical Courses has been started at Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK), Bangalore. Counselling/Seat Selection is only for those who appeared in PGET 2014 test, held across 32 centres in Bangalore on February 2, 2014.
The Post Graduate Entrance Test– 2014 (PGET 2014) is the test prescribed for the purpose of determining the eligibility for admission of students to PG Degree and Diploma courses in Medical subjects for the State Quota seats in Karnataka Government Colleges and Institutions and Karnataka Government Quota seats in Private Medical Colleges/Institutions and Deemed Universities within the State of Karnataka for the academic year 2014-15.
Counselling schedule will be shortly announced on COMEDK website. This year a total of 21,579 candidates have been registered for PGET and they will be provided admission in 12 Medical and 19 Dental Colleges of ComedK across Karnataka.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in two rounds of counselling session. All details will be available on website later.
COMEDK will conduct the counselling at "NMKRV College Mangala Mantapa", 3rd Block, Jayanagar, (near South End Circle), Bangalore – 560011 at sharp by 8.30 am. Candidates are required to bring all the original documents mentioned on the website. They are not authorised to bring anyone to be accompanied.
Eligibility criteria to apply:
- The minimum percentage of marks in the entrance test PGET 2014 shall be 50% for general category candidates
- 40% for the candidates belonging to SC / ST (All India) and other backward classes belonging to Karnataka state only.
- Candidates who have completed or will be completing their internship on or before April 30, 2014 are eligible for counselling
