The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2022 was successfully conducted on May 14, 2022, at various centres across the country. The exam was conducted from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
CLAT 2022 was organised by Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), Patna. Aspirants who appeared for the CLAT exam can now seek admission in any of the 17 National Law Universities in the country.
First Reactions:
The overall difficulty level of the CLAT 2022 exam turned out to be 'Moderate.' All the sections contained moderate questions. Most of the questions were asked from the CLAT 2022 syllabus. When asked about any technical issues, most of the students said it was very smooth without any glitches.
For the marking scheme, the total number of questions was 200, and one mark each will be rewarded for each correct answer and 0.25 will be deducted for every wrong answer.

CLAT 2022 Paper Analysis:
English Comprehension –
The candidates found the English section very lengthy but 'Easy'. It contained a Reading Comprehension passage and the rest of the questions were on English Usage. The questions were asked from Grammar, Spellings, Fill in the blanks, and Idioms & Phrases among others.
Mathematics –
The Mathematics section was lengthy and had a few tricky questions. The difficulty level was 'Moderate' for some, 'Hard' for some. The questions were based more on Logic. The topic of questions included Ratio & Proportion, Geometry, Algebra, Probability, and Statistics amongst others. A few questions required long calculations and candidates needed to spend a more time on solving the questions.
Logical Reasoning –
The difficulty level of the Logical Reasoning section turned out to be between 'Easy and Moderate.' The section was divided into two parts, i.e. Critical Reasoning and Analytical Reasoning. Some of the topics included were puzzles, matrix arrangement, blood relations, coding & decoding, family tree, strong & weak arguments, and syllogisms. Overall, this was an easy section and students were able to answer most of the questions.
General Knowledge and Current Affairs –
The GK section had questions mostly from the Current Affairs and most students found this section ‘Easy.’ The Current Affairs questions were from expected area such as National and International Politics, Social and Legal affairs among others. There were many questions covering events that occurred in 2015 - 2022. A few questions were tricky too.
Legal Aptitude –
The Legal Aptitude section was 'Moderate.' Many questions were based on the Indian Constitution. A few questions were lengthy too. A few students said that there was more usage of Foreign terms in the questions.

CLAT 2022 Exam Pattern:
