The admission process for engineering, medicine and dental sciences will be complete before the 31st of this month, as per instructions by the Supreme court of India, says Higher education minister R V Deshpande. Admissions for engineering will complete before July 27th 2013.
A signing of agreement with private colleges is initiated for the next couple of days. "The fee structure remains the same as last year," Deshpande added.
On being pointed out about the condition or lack of infrastructure in private and government engineering colleges, Deshpande stated that all affiliations are given by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and that the state government has no role to play in it, good or bad.
Despande denied any irregularities in the appointment of the Vice Chancellors to different universities, as alleged by a few members of the legislative council.
I have not received any complaints about irregularities in the VCs' appointments. If anyone has any documentary evidences, let them come and give it to me. I will order a probe into it,'' he maintained.
