- A new window will open up where candidates need to log in with the username and password provided at the time of registration.

What to Consider When Taking CAT 2022 Mock Test
- When taking the CAT 2022 mock test on the official website, candidates need to take the following precautions.
- Make sure you are free for the three hours.
- Keep all the necessary paraphernalia like water etc. within the easy reach.
- Make sure you have a spare and empty room away from any intervention to take the mock test so that you can concentrate.
- Consider keeping your cell phone off during the entire duration.
CAT 2022 Exam Pattern (as official mock tests indicate)
Since the day one IIM Bangalore released the CAT advertisement, the exam conducting body this year was mum on the exam pattern. It still is. However, the sample mock tests that IIM Bangalore released at the official website on October 25, 2022 give us a sneak peek into what the CAT 2022 exam pattern would be like. CAT 2022 Syllabus Pattern
The official mock test released on the CAT 2022 website has 100 questions in all divided into three sections: Quant (34 questions), DILR (32 questions) and VARC (34 questions). The DILR section has 8 non-MCQs that are divided equally into DI and LR subsections having 4 non-MCQs each, whereas the Quant and VARC sections have 10 non-MCQs each. On the other hand, CAT 2022 sample tests indicate that candidates should focus more on Reading Comprehension (RC) as it gets 70 percent weightage in VARC section.
CAT 2022 Syllabus Pattern, Time Duration and Constraints
The release of the official mock tests and 100 questions therein now give somewhat, if not clear, idea of what 100 questions on December 4 (CAT 2022 exam day) would appear like. The questions will be divided into three sections with time duration of 60 minutes each. Candidates won’t be able to freely flip the sections or choose any of the sections to start with and constraint of 60 minutes applies to each section.
CAT 2022 Exam Section Order
In CAT 2022 exam pattern, the order of sections is fixed in 1 to 3 non-changeable order. This time, VARC will be the first section replacing the Quant section which will now be the third and the last section. If the sample tests are to go by, all the three sections in CAT 2022 will have 8 to 10 Non-MCQs and expected to have not less than 8 non-MCQs. Each MCQ will carry 3 marks and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. There will be no negative marking for unattempted questions.
