The Common Admission Test (CAT) is inching closer to becoming just like GMAT! After the successful completion of CAT 2011, the organisers are already planning to adopt a twice-a-year pattern for CAT in order to make it convenient for working professionals.
The CAT 2011 score is being used as a selection criteria for management programmes by the IIMs, FMS, IITs, IISc and several other institutes in India as well as abroad. With the number of institutes that use CAT scores for their admission procedure increasing constantly, the number of CAT aspirants has also increased. It would only be fair if candidates, especially working professionals get at least 2 opportunities every year to take CAT.
Convenor for CAT 2011, Prof. Jankiraman Moorthy said that the details for the second testing session need to be worked out.
