The Common Admission Test (CAT) for entry into management institutes is being conducted by Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) this year. The students will be able to download their admit cards from 25th October 2015 onwards instead of 15th October 2015.
The number of students registering for the Common Admission Test (CAT) for management courses increased by more than 11% from the corresponding figure for last year. This year, 2,18,664 candidates have registered for the exam, which will be held in November. The number for last year was 1,95,943.
The CAT notification was released on 26th July 2015 and registrations began on 6th August 2015.
The registrations for this year's exams were supposed to close on September 20. But the deadline was extended to September 25. Around 35,632 extra candidates registered during this extended window, leading to a rise in total registrations.
The test will be conducted across 115 centres in a single day in 2 slots.
The different sections for the CAT exam include Quantitative Aptitude (QA), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC).
The result is likely to be declared in December this year.
