Students appearing in the month-long CAT exam being held across the country for admission to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Management need to carry a photo I-card, an exam orgniser said on Monday.
Soumitra Roy, managing director, Prometric India, which is organised the tests, said an original photo I-card was a must."We wish to remind candidates the importance of bringing an original and valid photo identification. Those using college IDs must also produce a valid ATM, credit or debit card with their name," Roy said on Monday.
"Those without proper identification will not be allowed to appear in test. If in doubt, candidates may bring a notarized affidavit (in English) with photo, signature, date of birth and residential address," he said.
The CAT tests started across the country on Oct 22. The tests, to be conducted at 78 centres across 33 cities in a staggered format, will conclude on Nov 24.
