Placements campaigns began at University College of Engineering, Punjabi University. Infosys, an Indian Multinational Company visited the University Campus on September 17, 2015 and September 18, 2015 for the recruitment of students from:
- Bachelor of Technology-Computer Science Branch (B Tech- CSE),
- Bachelor of Technology-Civil Engineering Branch (B Tech-Civil Engineering),
- Bachelors of Technology-Electrical Engineering (B Tech-Electrical Engineering),
- Bachelor of Technology (Mechanical Engineering),
- Master of Computer Application (MCA),
- Master of Technology-Computer Science (M Tech-CS).
Around 405 students cleared the online test and 303 were finally shortlisted after the Interview Round. The students are full of zest and enthusiasm to join the second largest India based IT Services Company.
Infosys being India's sixth largest publicly traded company is headquartered at Bengaluru, Karnataka, providing business consulting, information technology, software engineering and outsourcing services as the main amenities.
Punjabi University is a public university affiliated under University Grants Commission (UGC) imparting courses in science, engineering and technology, humanities, social sciences, performing arts and sports. The respective University is only the second university in the world to be named after a language, after Hebrew University of Israel.
