Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum and Technology (RGIPT) is established by the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas to impart technical and management training in petroleum and energy sector.
RGIPT announces admission to B.Tech. and M.Tech. programmes for academic session starting in 2012.
The full-time B.Tech. course is offered in Petroleum Engineering and Chemical Engineering. The full-time two year M.Tech. programme is offered in Petroleum Engineering.
Eligibility for B.Tech. 2012 from RGIPT
- You should have scored a minimum of 60% (55% for SC/ST) in 10+2 or equivalent.
- You should have appeared in IIT JEE–2012 as admission will be based on IIT JEE 2012 rank.
Eligibility for M.Tech. 2012 from RGIPT
- You should have 4-year B.Tech/B.E. degree in Petroleum, Petro-Chemical, Production, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering.
- If you have a valid GATE score, you have appear in written exam and interview conducted by RGIPT as final selection will be done on the basis of your scores in RGIPT written exam and interview.
- If you have sponsorship from a company, you don’t need GATE score but you have to give the written exam and interview conducted by RGIPT. You should have worked for at least year with the sponsoring company.
Application Procedure for B.Tech. and M.Tech. 2012 from RGIPT
- You can apply to B.Tech. and M.Tech. programme 2012 from RGIPT by downloading the application form from official website of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (http://www.rgipt.ac.in).
- You can take the print out of your duly filled RGIPT application form and send it along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- in favour of "Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology" payable at Rae Bareli to

- You should write “Application form for B.Tech./ M.Tech.” on the envelope.
- You can also pay the application fee for RGIPT B.Tech. and M.Tech. programmes through online transfer.
