BIT, Mesra as one of the remote centres for ISTE workshop by IITB

IIT Bombay conducted two week ISTE main workshop on “Computer Networking” as a part of the National Mission on Education through ICT, supported by MHRD from June 30-July 5, 2014. BIT Mesra was registered as one of the remote centre (RC) of this program and during the workshop BIT had showed full enthusiasm in smooth going of the workshop.
 
 The participating teachers were allowed to attend the workshop at a remote centre (RC) close to their own college.
 
Since December 2009, IIT, Bombay have been conducting several two-week ISTE workshops on various engineering subjects. It has reached out to more than 65,000 teachers and helped them to enhance their teaching skills in these subjects. 
 
In order to run these workshops at selected remote centres, IITB invites expert faculty from various remote centres to a One Week Coordinators training workshop which is held in IIT Bombay, typically two months before the main workshop. These faculty members then act as Workshop Coordinators during the main training workshop to be conducted later for 10,000 teachers, during which, the Coordinators supervise the conduct of tutorials and Labs at their Centers.
