B. Tech admission in North West Institute of Engineering and Technology

Admission is going on for B. Tech courses at North West Institute of Engineering and Technology (NWIET).

Admissions to B-Tech Programs are made on the basis of common entrance test (CET) and subsequent counselling conduced by PTU, Jalandhar. Application from can be downloaded from http://www.northwest.ac.in/

85% of the seats are allotted for the students having Punjab Domicile and the students of rest of the India fill 15% seats.

Admission of students from other states is done through All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE) conducted by CBSE.

As per the university guidelines, each institute can retain 33% of allotted seats to be filled up under the management quota. However, in order to encourage the admission to management’s quota seats student can download form and apply directly to the institute.

Eligibility criteria for admission in North West Institute of Engineering & Technology

• Candidates who have passed (10+2) or equivalent with physics and Maths as the main subjects and any of chemistry, Biology, biotechnology, Computer science as optional subject can apply for B. Tech.

• Those who have passed Diploma in Engineering Trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education, Chandigarh or Diploma/ Certificate course from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal or such Examinations form any other recognized State Board of Technical Education are also eligible.
